I teach Voice and Presence through the lens of theatre practice, Alexander Technique, Leadership Presence and a foundational practice and understanding of the speaking voice.
I am always learning and endlessly curious in this field. I recently completed online training with The Voice and Study Centre in London honing the voice teacher’s specialty towards helping public speakers understand and grow their most important communication instrument – the voice.
We know that for leaders at every level voice control and mastery is a must-have, separate the wheat-from-the-chaff kinda stuff. In a world full of noise, the ability to speak with clarity, authority, and ease is what makes people compelling and memorable. Professional voice training gives people the skills to reduce nerves, strengthen delivery, and communicate in ways that inspire confidence and trust.
Through this course (and my other learning platforms) I’m refining my approach to helping communicators successfully align their voice, body, and message. And also, importantly, how to effectively deal with nerves, adrenaline and stage fright.
I treat the voice as an instrument of connection and power—helping individuals unlock expression, variety, and resonance so they become speakers that are able to tap into their truth and deliver it with impact and love.
